2027 will be the Orioles' 18th spring training in Sarasota. Game times and the full day-by-day list are at Orioles.com/Schedule.

One thing to watch: Major League Baseball's labor agreement with the players expires Dec. 1, 2026, and national reports this fall have said a lockout is possible. If talks drag on, spring training could be delayed or changed, as it was in 2022. If you're booking flights and hotels around specific games, choose refundable options where you can, and check Orioles.com for updates this winter.

Spring Training Tickets

Buy tickets at Orioles.com/Spring or in the MLB Ballpark app, which also holds your mobile tickets for entry. During spring training, the Ed Smith Stadium box office is open for in-person sales on weekdays. To hear about ticket offers first, sign up for the free Orioles Insider newsletter.

  • Buy early for weekends and big opponents. Games against the Yankees and Red Sox draw lots of visiting fans, and March is peak season in Sarasota.
  • Want a social seat? The Left Field Pavilion has drink rails and bistro tables facing the field, with single-game tickets that started at $24 in 2026.
  • Accessible seating is available in nearly every ticket category. Buy online, by email at srqtickets@orioles.com or at the box office.

Getting to Ed Smith Stadium and Parking

Ed Smith Stadium is east of downtown Sarasota, at 12th Street and Tuttle Avenue.

  • From the north: take I-75 to exit 213 (University Parkway), head west to Tuttle Avenue, then turn left and head south to 12th Street.
  • From the south: take I-75 to exit 210 (Fruitville Road), head west to Tuttle Avenue, then turn right to 12th Street.
  • Parking: several lots surround the complex, with more than 1,800 spaces. Parking was $12 per vehicle in 2026, paid by card only. Check Orioles.com/Parking for 2027 rates.
  • Drop-off: there are drop-off loops at the Left Field Gate in the East Lot and on Euclid Avenue by the Home Plate Gate.

Staying on St. Armands Circle, Lido or Longboat? Allow extra time in March, when traffic through downtown and over the bridges is at its heaviest.

Bag, Food and Ballpark Rules

These are the rules that send people back to their cars, so read them before you go:

  • No regular bags or backpacks. Allowed: a clear plastic bag up to 12 by 6 by 12 inches, a fanny pack or clutch up to 5 by 7 inches, a 1-gallon clear freezer bag, and medically necessary bags like diaper bags.
  • Outside food is allowed if it fits in one clear, sealable 1-gallon plastic bag per person, in individual portions.
  • Drinks: one factory-sealed plastic bottle of a non-alcoholic drink, up to 20 ounces. No frozen bottles.
  • Not allowed: umbrellas, hard-sided coolers, glass, cans and alcohol.
  • No re-entry. Once you're in, you can't step out and come back.
  • It's cashless. Bring a credit or debit card.

Free Workouts and Fan Access

One of the best parts of spring training is free. Fans can watch Orioles workouts on the backfields at the Ed Smith Stadium complex every day of spring training, on home and road game days, from about 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. On days with no home game, parking in the East Lot is free. On home game days, backfield access opens about four hours before first pitch, regular parking rates apply, and you need a game ticket to enter the stadium itself.

Before the game, players and coaches sometimes sign autographs along the field when time allows. Ushers send fans back to their seats about 15 minutes before first pitch.

For Kids and Grandparents

  • Kids Run the Bases: after every Sunday home game, kids ages 4 to 14 can run the bases. Line up near the right field bullpen in the 9th inning.
  • Senior Stroll: after select home games, fans 60 and over are invited to walk the bases too.
  • Scoreboard surprises: you can put a birthday or anniversary message on the video board with at least 24 hours' notice and a donation to the Orioles Charitable Foundation.

Make a Sarasota Trip of It

Spring training season lines up with Sarasota's best weather, which is why so many fans from the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast turn a few games into a full vacation.

  • More baseball nearby: the Pittsburgh Pirates play spring training at LECOM Park in Bradenton, just north of Sarasota, and the Atlanta Braves play at CoolToday Park in North Port, to the south.
  • Beach mornings, ballgame afternoons: pair a game with a morning on Lido or Siesta. Our Lido Beach guide has parking tips.
  • Dinner after the game: head downtown or out to St. Armands Circle. See our St. Armands Circle guide for the free trolley and parking.
  • Book early. February through April are among the busiest months at Sarasota Bradenton International Airport, so flights and hotels fill up.

What to Bring to the Ballpark

Spring training is mostly daytime baseball in the Florida sun, and umbrellas aren't allowed, so sun protection matters. If you forgot something, stop by The Sarasota Style at 410 St. Armands Circle before the game.
